The Dalmia Bharat Foundation, DBF, is a registered not-for-profit organization set up under the Indian Trust Act, 1882. The Foundation was set up in 2009 to expand the programmes and projects of the Dalmia Bharat Group’s CSR division. With this independent entity, Dalmia Bharat Group re-affirms its determination to be an aware and effective corporate citizen. We believe in the limitless potential of human being and focus on community-driven, beneficiary-centric development programmes. DBF is the natural evolution of corporate social partnerships beyond CSR compliance. It is our conviction, that progress and sustainable development depend greatly on partnerships and shared values. The foundation implements programmes in 33 districts across 14 states, reaching out to 2.28 Million population PAN India.

At the Dalmia Bharat Foundation, there is a belief in the limitless potential of the human being. The programmes combine in-depth long-term plans and strategies along with medium and short term initiatives and campaigns. Owing to the great differences across locations, a flexible, multi-intervention approach that allows programmes and people to grow together and sustain each other has been adapted. DBF focuses on creating Sustainable Livelihoods for the community and developing the support of Social Infrastructure, which has been derived from the needs felt by the community and those related to the business.
