Dr. Reddy's Foundation

Dalmia Bharat Group's CSR programmes are conducted through reputed and regionally suitable NGO partners who have excellent credentials and proven competence in the locations and programmes.

Currently we are working with four implementing partners.

Dr. Reddy's Foundation

Dr. Reddy's FoundationDr. Reddy's Foundation (DRF) is the Non-Profit Partner of the major pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratory, established in the year 1996. DRF's interventions span two sectors viz. Livelihoods and Education. The livelihood wing of DRF provides wide array of vocational training programs to poor youth and addresses the issues of employability, income generation and consequent improvement in quality of life. Whereas the education wing strives to provide various opportunities for learning to those who have never been to school, or are school dropped; it also works to improve the quality of education in schools.

For the past decade DRF has been at the forefront of vocational training in India, to enable youth from the less privileged sections of the society to acquire employable skills and decent livelihoods and obtaining jobs in entry level positions. To put its mission into action DRF has developed a short duration, market friendly training model which is delivered through training centres called as 'Livelihood Advancement Business Schools'(LABS). The LABS model has been highly appreciated, recognized and replicated by various for profit and non-profit organizations across the country including Central and State Government. Under its LABS program DRF has trained and placed 2.30 lakhs youth in India till date. During last one decade, while implementing LABS program in diverse communities, DRF has come across many challenges that were faced by rural youth and were not adequately addressed by the LABS program. Rural to urban migration, issue of poor net income, social isolation from family and village life, adjustment to urban way of life, poor retention of trainees on the job, were some of the issues faced by rural aspirants. With the purpose of addressing all such issues and to provide sustainable livelihood to rural poor DRF has launched a new program called "Skilling Rural India".

Dr. Reddy's Foundation is our partner for implementing our CSR programme at Gulbarga, Karnataka.
