Engaging our Employees

Besides our involvement in CSR, we also like to actively encourage employees to undertake volunteering and effectively engage in socially and personally fulfilling activities.

Employee Volunteering Activities - A Beginning..

• We have done a pilot start at NOIDA where 10 committed staff members were taken to schools supported by our NGO partners in order to contribute their time to social activities.
• Last year, our employees contributed towards the education and health of children supported by "Diya Foundation" an organization working to promote the cause of education and health amongst those marginalized by underdevelopment and lack of opportunities. The employees were informed about their activities and "Diya" received an encouraging and enthusiastic response from our employees. After an invitation from Dalmia to put up a stall on the occasion of Diwali, "Diya" displayed beautiful handcrafted diyas, candles and cards made by these poor and underprivileged children. The organisation received an overwhelming response from the employees.

Our corporate and plant staff distributed shawls, sweaters and clothes in Jawaharpur, Distt - Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, in our CSR location. As part of that campaign Dalmia Charity Trust also contributed 50 new blankets for the villagers in Jawaharpur, Sitapur.

We are trying to promote full scale employee participation in our CSR villages at all our plant locations. At our Kadapa plant, a comprehensive orientation has been conducted for all the employees to get involved in the CSR activities. Similar initiatives will be undertaken at other plant locations.

During the year the employees both at the corporate level and at the plant location are expected to actively engage in employee volunteering programme.
